What is Plant-Based? Eating Plant-Based is another clean way of eating mostly minimally processed foods such as fruits, veggies, beans. Excluding the consumption of animal products, meat, poultry, fish, and eggs. When choosing to eat plant-based it’s imperative that the foods you do consume are low in sugar and fats.

Going plant-based can significantly decrease your risk of disease. Consuming less meat decreases Heart disease, Strokes, High Cholesterol, Obesity, Type 2 Diabetes, and even certain kinds of cancers. Bottom line: Plant-based eating is more of a template that encourages focusing on plant foods, not a restrictive diet that makes things off-limits, says David Levitsky, PhD, professor of nutrition and psychology at Cornell University.
